15 Minutes | Complimentary
A brief phone consultation gives you an opportunity to share what is bringing you to therapy, ask initial questions, and determine whether our approach may be a good fit for your needs.
A consultation is not a clinical assessment, does not provide individualized treatment, and does not establish a therapist-client relationship.
-
All first clinical appointments are 60 minutes.
Your initial appointment provides dedicated time to discuss what brings you to therapy, relevant history and experiences, your current concerns, and what you hope to gain from treatment.
We will also begin identifying treatment goals and determine whether the services and approaches offered at Acadia are an appropriate fit for your needs.

This focused option is available to clients when a shorter talk-therapy session aligns with the treatment plan. Sessions include approximately 40 minutes of cognitive therapeutic work and five minutes for review, closure, and next steps. EMDR is not provided in the 45-minute format. All sessions over 45 minutes are $175
Appointments are typically scheduled weekly.
-
The 55-minute format may include traditional psychotherapy, attachment-focused work, somatic or nervous-system-informed techniques, or EMDR when clinically appropriate.
EMDR is an eight-phase treatment, and not every EMDR appointment involves active memory reprocessing or bilateral stimulation.
Sessions are typically scheduled weekly or every other week.
If you are interested in EMDR this is where you should start. Learn more about EMDR Therapy.

90 minute sessions are the gold standard amount of time to process one target with EMDR. When you do sessions shorter than 90 minutes, most individuals won’t be able to complete a full target during session while also having adequate time before processing to update their therapist and to comfortably debrief afterwards.
Extended sessions provide additional time for more focused therapeutic work, EMDR, and appropriate closure before the appointment ends.
Ninety-minute appointments must be arranged in advance and are offered based on availability and clinical appropriateness.
90 minute sessions are $265.
Sessions are typically held every other week or once per month.

Good Faith Estimate
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees. Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
All clients receive a GFE during their intake paperwork. Our per session rates and fees are straightforward and will always be listed on my website & in your informed consent for transparency.
